Review of The Cable Guy (1996) by Tim F — 10 Mar 2010
Classic Jim Carrey, in this one he actually has a reason to over-act; his lisp and even maybe tv. Also young Jack Black meets the king of hilariously overreacting! Very funny set up, Broderick is great at being the ass with the trouble.
It only gets better think, you figure out the filosophy of his existense, his childhood youth-story, very good ending, especially funny "Im Ricky Ricardo!" and hitting the lisp -"you sson of a bitssch" Great how you finally see what the twin court case-story has actually to do with the main story where the cable guy falls on the transmitter and nobody got to see the verdict! Good work Ben!
