Review of The Cable Guy (1996) by Will J — 11 Mar 2012
The Cable Guy is a strangely comedic film, with Jim Carrey playing a clingy and twisted friend to Matthew Broderick; Carrey's dark side really comes to light here, contrasting with his other roles in comedy films.
This black comedy is disturbing to say the least, especially towards the latter half. The end of this tale is rather disappointing and the whole subplot of the Sam Sweet trial is perhaps irrelevant.
