Review of The Cabin in the Woods (2012) by Sarahjessica T — 28 Oct 2014

I just watched this again, and felt the same way I did when I saw it in the theater: it is one of the best horror movies ever made. Some may disagree because it isn't really scary; it is too smart for that.

It is a wild ride, combining parody, satire, terror, horror and laughs. That shouldn't be possible, but it is written, directed and acted with such confidence, it works like gangbusters. And the finale is beyond satisfying - at least if you are in the mod to see humanity get it's just deserts.
