Review of The Cabin in the Woods (2012) by Steve G — 29 Nov 2015
Re-wrote the horror rules... bla bla bla.
In order to subvert any popular form, entertainment first has to work on its own terms. Goddard and Whedon are too busy geeking out to bother with those requirements. Also, his fetish with young women.
The requisite magic negro who's above it all & doesn't quite understand what's going on. The pothead who knows all. Pot, as the cure.
And the Hollywood push for bestiality begins. The burnout was one of the most annoying characters of all time. Got slightly better at the end, but too late to be salvaged.
