Review of The Cabin in the Woods (2012) by Phil P — 10 Nov 2013
With conspiracies, horror, comedy, effective dramatic moments and some killer gore, The Cabin in the Woods becomes an experience rather than a movie. Everything is set up, from the sharp and slick script, situations, music, violence and scenery, for a violent and funny yet clever deconstruction of the aliments that limp over its respective genre.
Under it all though, it's still about humanity, our wants, our fears, our weaknesses and evils. At times touching and violent, at others horrifying and funny, it's worth all the marbles.
