Review of The Cabin in the Woods (2012) by Patricia W — 23 Aug 2017
As soon as the characters start to speak you know it's a Joss Whedon film and that's by no means a bad thing. This is a masterclass in deconstructing the horror genre and a joy to watch. It's saturated with references to classic horror and both mocks and plays into the clichés we all know so well.
Even if you've never seen a horror film before this is still a thoroughly entertaining and exciting film that swings between dread and hilarity.
