Review of The Cabin in the Woods (2012) by Shayan S — 16 Jun 2015
Wow, for the first time in my life i've seen a satirical horror film so over the top, so strange, and so hilarious, that I don't even know what I can say about it. Now Cabin in the Woods is a film that, well left me VERY confused but entertained on how it managed to make a film so insane, twisted, and funny.
Now i'm no stranger to Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, as one is a screenplayer for Cloverfield and World War Z and the other a creator for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and director of The Avengers, so seeing these names wasn't surprising, it's how much they MANAGED to make it surprisingly good.
Though I'll be honest, I don't get the love for this film as it's over the topness tends to get extreme and the film could of benefited from other people had they worked on it, but I found myself to enjoy Cabin in the Woods to some extent.
