Review of The Cabin in the Woods (2012) by Facebook U — 05 Jan 2014
Wicked and gory. Horror that is not too silly. It is however again the good englishes against the old world evil gods. Good thing that they had japanese winning their fight against the gods. Which makes me wonder if the gods takeover in the end is just of the USA.
The complex story line is satisfying and we always wonder how they will escape, em, or how unusual their death will be and who will be the last survivor. The dead gets a second life as zombies though.
But our heroes don't make it that far. There is a lot of dark humor and I love the way the psychological weaknesses of the heroes makes a bad ending unavoidable. Well, the dice are falling badly for the sake of the horror god of course.
