Review of The Bye Bye Man (2017) by Scott H — 23 Jan 2017
I bought the setup and appreciated its gradual character development, but it falters from having an overall tone of creepiness and never creating a truly scary villain or a sequence or set of set pieces that are intense enough to give you goosebumps.
It's easy to tell the script was written with no ending in mind and while the acting isn't bad, the dialogue and logic they display is. Not bad, but nothing memorable either.
