Review of The Bye Bye Man (2017) by Nicholas V — 14 Jun 2017
The Bye Bye Man is really, really bad but it's a LULZ kind of bad. Definitely horrific acting in several places and definitely the worst CGI I've seen since The Langoliers. There was PG-13 type blood level in a movie with R-rated type themes of violence, and this movie traverses an entire galaxy of tones. I have a feeling though that this is gonna become a cult classic in a so-bad-it's-good way. This is to me a 2/10 type movie because of some of the nonsensical elements in this film, but it's certainly entertaining. Just be ready to laugh in places you're not supposed to laugh.
Ladies and gentlemen, The Bye Bye Man is One-Watch Worthy. This movie is a total trainwreck that you can have a ball with. I'd say wait to rent it, then watch it with some friends and just roast the heck out of it.
