After Dark HorrorFest 8 films To Die For Review - BUTTERFLY EFFECT 3:
Holy shit is everyone who gave this film more than a 1 star rating on crack or has the quality of film these days gotten so bad that we let shit slide? I literally had to watch this in 3 parts over the period of 3 nights just to get through it. I found absolutely nothing about this non appealing piece of crap that was worth my time and frankly I wish I could take it back. The film does start out quite promising however when a mother is murdered in the parking lot in front of her 4 year old son, quite gruesomely I might add. At this point my interest peaked and I happily looked forward to the next 80 minutes with unwavering anticipation. What I inevitably found as I watched on was that so much about this film made no sense and confuses the viewer by jumping from here to there to wherever. What you get by the end is a badly penned story where you care nothing for the characters (acting is just shit by the way) and is basically a massive insonsistent mess that starts out promising then just begs you to power off your media player.
At this point I have even lost any hope for next years After Dark Horror Fest.
