Review of The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations (2009) by Elma M — 16 Oct 2009
Not bad 2nd sequel to the highly enjoyable first movie (not the awful 2nd movie though!). This time round we have a "jumper" who assists the police with crimes by "observing" the crime being committed and then leaping back to tip the police off.
Problems arise though when the main guy jumps back to prevent his girlfriends murder only to create a brutal serial killer when he returns back to the present. Chris Carmack makes quite a decent lead and dare I say it, would have been a better lead in the first movie.
Its not a classic with some ropey acting from the supporting cast and some gratious sex and violent scenes that dont seem to sit right with this franchise. All in all though it isnt a bad effort for a straight to DVD movie.
