Well, this is a surprise. 'The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations' is a highly entertaining, and enjoyable movie!

As a fan of 'The Butterfly Effect', I was highly disappointed with its first sequel. So, it was only natural to prepare myself in thinking that the third instalment would be equally disappointing. However, I was wrong, and glad to be wrong!

'The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations' is the story of Sam Reide, a man who can travel back in time and does so in order to aid the police in convicting murderers. But one day, Sam is asked by the sister of his now deceased girlfriend, to go back in time and witness the murder so that the killer can be put behind bars.

Now this may sound like a simple plot, but when it comes to actually viewing the movie, it is soon made clear that there is nothing simple about the plot. Okay, it isn't as complex as the plot of the original movie, but it's not far from it.

Now, the atmosphere of this movie is brilliant, and the casting is great. The dialogue on very rare occasions is on the 'Cheesey' side of things. But all in all, this movie is a real treat. My only faults with it are as follows:

This movie is NOT long enough!

When I first viewed the trailer for this little gem, I was convinced that this movie would be quite in depth, there for, a decent run time of at least 2 hours would be in order. Sadly, the movie runs at 87 minutes. I think this is such a shame as it had so much going for it.

But on the plus side, Before I began viewing the movie, I thought I had already figured out the twist ending. I thought that from the trailer, and the style of movie, that it was obvious. Once again I was SO wrong! And I certainly didn't see it coming!

I personally enjoyed this movie a lot, and I appreciate that not all of the fans of the original movie will except this instalment. At the end of the day, no sequel will ever top the original 'The Butterfly Effect', and this I am aware of. But I felt that 'The Butterfly Effect 3:Revelations' definately came close!

So if you're having a night in, and you need some entertaining, then don't hesitate in watching this movie.
