Review of The Butterfly Effect (2004) by Wilman A — 12 Dec 2013
Although gived rotten this movie including 5 best movie i`ve ever seen. one of the best sci-fi movie i`ve ever seen. very great performance by Ashton Kutcher and very great directing by Eric Bress and J.
Mackye Gruber. One of the best idea movie i`ve ever watched. very great start and beautiful with the ending. If you love fantasy movie and mind breaker movie you will love it just like me. My writing below is containing all of spoiler aspect.
it`s your choice want to read or no, but the reason I write this spoiler is for help you to understand the meaning of this movie if you don`t get it. so if you don`t get it,come back for this review. combining movie of "Memento", "The Machinist" and "Donnie Darko".
if you love all of those movie, sure you will fall in love with this movie. although combining with those three movies but the main idea is original itself. it`s about one man (Ashton Kutcher) who can alter his faith by reprogamming it through his memory.
the process for alteration : he is getting himself tranced by reading his old jurnal, after he read the intro for every jurnal page he can live again on that time and changing averything he want, this changing effect continuously and changing his faith and everybody faith especially people aroung him.
this ability inherited by his father. so let`s say the father and the son experienced the same situation. but every alteration this boy made have always get everything worst for people around him and that`s happen for his father too.
after several alteration the dillemma came when everybody have a good faith but not him. and so like like his father, he realize the best way is he must sacrifice his feeling and love to get everyone better.
to be honest i`m very satisfy with the ending. I hope this movie can entertain greatly for you all. Like I did.
