Review of The Butterfly Effect 2 (2006) by Ben W — 30 Aug 2009
Mmmn. This seems to happen to a lot of good films. The first one is one of my favourite films, and this one...seems to have thrown out half of the plot. The cast is excellent (apart from main dude, Eric Lively, who is unfortunately plastic).
The great thing about the first film was the flickering around realities (not here: just flickering to one reality to another new one...). Then there's some unexplained plot point about his father, and about his job and about his girl: as I said the plot has too many holes for it to be through script error- they just seem to have cut huge bits out.
