Review of The Butterfly Effect 2 (2006) by Kim K — 10 Sep 2010
Nowhere near as gripping as the first outing, this movie suffers from a much less thrilling setting of adult life, compared to the adventures into teenaged and indeed childish years in the first movie. It is not as dark either (which is probably a good thing for many viewers), although the sexual count rockets up with several quite blatent and cheap sexual scenes.
I found the acting to be merely OK and the plot itself was reasonable, but nothing to write home about.
All in all, I recommend the first movie and not seeing the darker of the two endings, which is one of the most depressing things I have ever seen.
