Review of The Butler (2013) by Diego T — 11 Jan 2014
A story that has desperate pleas that many are unwilling to hear even today. Great peoples make up the civil rights movement and black power is like any other when humanity faces inequity. More balancing needs to take place in the horrid past america has unfortunately suffered onto minorities and indeed women.
Until people truly see the golden rule as significant in their own lives we will fail the humanity test. I was part of the civil rights movement, am proud of it and await further honesty as depicted in the butler.
Our new nation is leading the world in that quest. This story shows part of the ugly truth. Indigenous peoples enslaved and repressed ultimately bring us that opportunity I just pray we can grow strong enough to face and humbly own it.
Encore! and More.
