Great film! The story of the man Cecil Gaines was moving, uplifting and riveting. Being my dad was born around the same time frame and shares the same name hit home even more so. A lot of the answers for why people act and respond the way that they do we're provided through this movie for me.
It wasn't a super "Feel Good" movie for me, but a movie that reminded me of the sacrifices of so many (black & white) that were mad that allowed me to not only enjoy the freedoms I have, but also enjoy the marriage that I have.
Thank you Lee Daniels for being so courageous to make a film like this. The world needs to see it so that answers can be provided for them s well.
