Review of The Butler (2013) by Scott S — 22 Feb 2014
This movie was insightful and thought-provoking. The film portrayed the different and always difficult ways African-Americans handled racism in the early to mid 20th Century and in this particular case how one man's job affected his relationship with his son.
I really enjoyed the film and watching this gives me and far deeper appreciation for the fact that right now a black man is the leader of the free world when glass and 100 years ago rocks weren't even allowed to drink from the same water fountain in some states.
Lee Daniels' "The Butler" was moving and inspiring throughout!
