Review of The Butler (2013) by Vince S — 24 Feb 2014

I'm getting sick of Hollywood passing off fiction as fact, it's selling under false pretence. Where do we draw the line on "inspired by actual events"? In the case of this movie, it's 90% fiction. If they would have told me right off the bat that it's pure fiction, I probably would give this movie a 4 star rating. What they do is damaging to historical facts.

Before this review gets labeled as having racial undertones I want to be perfectly clear that is not the case. I feel the same about many other recent movies, including Argo, and Captain Phillips.

Just my 2 cents.
