Review of The Butler (2013) by Vj L — 08 Mar 2014
Although I believe the performances by Forest Whitaker and Oprah were outstanding the movie was not unique in its approach. At times I felt like I was watching Forrest Gump with all the flash backs. The movie was very similar to many Civil rights era movies.
It was watchable but I was glad I saw it "on demand" and not in the theatre.
