Review of The Butcher's Wife (1991) by Rebekah S — 09 Aug 2008
Liked this more than I thought I would.
The plot builds into a rather frenzied moral confusion, and like a Shakespearean comedy has thematic strength: It's usually easier to see with clarity decisions OTHER people are facing.
Some people won't be able to get past the "clairvoyant" element and the various morally compromising situations, but for those who can, there is food for thought about how one "reads" the various signs and signals in life's path.
