Review of The Burning Plain (2008) by Katerina H — 18 Apr 2009
I would describe this as a moody and mysterious film, and I wouldn't recommend that you watch it if you're looking for something uplifting. That being said, it's a great film and deals with life experiences and human relationships.
Guillermo Arriaga (writer of '21 Grams') directed this and I think he did a fantastic job! There's several plots in this film that eventually converge and culminate towards the end. The scenes also play out of order and in seperate timelines, but it's never really confusing (maybe only in the beginning of the film).
Amazing performances by Charlize Theron, Kim Basinger and Jennifer Lawrence!
