Guillermo Arriaga's work is truly the best there is... Theron's role playing the emotionally traumatic woman that has to face her past bearing the burden of her mother's infidelity and murder with Basinger as the mother in desperate search of desire and acceptance intertwined into this touching tale of desperation and love.
.. Truly, a great movie.
