Review of The Bullfighters (1945) by The Critic ( — 25 Nov 2013
Perhaps one of the least satisfying Laurel and Hardy ventures; the impact of their transition to Fox Studios is evident in the relaxed pace of the narrative, despite Laurel writing and directing some scenes.
The film isn't a complete write-off, with some laugh-out-loud moments, but their limited improvisation and an annoying Diosa Costello makes this one, their last released in the United States, difficult to highly recommend.
