Review of The Bucket List (2007) by Carlos R — 30 Aug 2010
This movie is sad, funny, and touching all at the same time. Knowing several people who have lost the fight with cancer, this movie hit close to home for me. It also makes you think, if you only had a few more months on this earth, what would you do differently? What would you want to do? For a movie to make you ask questions pertaining to you own life is always cause for applause. Bravo script writers!
Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman also took the wheel of this film and had amazing performances. These are two guys that have been around the scene for a long time and both of them are just as good as they were when they became famous. These are probably two of the best actors out there, and they showed it in this film.
The negative points are that the story drags out in some places and gets boring and that is is fairly depressing. I know it's supposed to be depressing, but seriously, it can ruin a good day. This is a touching movie, and inspired me to make a bucket list of my own, but it's not a film I would really want to watch a lot because it can be a drag as well. Still, it's a good watch.
