My Tomatometer record shows I don't like watching bad movies, there is no point in critizing a movie if you know it is going to be bad. I had no choice than to watch "The Brothers Solomon" as it was being shown during a free lesson in school.

It is a "hilariously" atrocious movie. One which is not only unfunny but is insulting to intelligence too. The two leads are made, it seems, to annoy and not to produce laughs. A catalyst for a few guilty laughs is the big black boyfriend to Jeanine (Kristen Wiig) who constant use of the F-word is so cliche and badly timed, I have to put him in my top 10 worst characters list.

The story is about two eponymous brothers whose Dad has always "hilariously" given them everything they ever wanted. He is now in a coma, "hilariously" being sustained by home-bought life support machines in the Solomon living room and his two sons want to pay him back with a grandson, but because they are both unsurprisingly useless at getting girls they must pay a surrogate, Jeanine, with an unusually easily obtained $12,000.

Will Arnett and Will Forte play the eponymous brothers. "Hilarity" ensues over the course of the film, it is agonizing. The silver lining is the charismatic Kristen Wiig who plays their surrogate in the same character style as her one in the Four Star "Knocked Up", I enjoyed her performance, but nothing else.

With this type of movie the after effect is that it seems to mock you saying that you are stuck up if you didn't enjoy it.
