This movie was a pleasant surprise. I went into this with pretty low expectations. I thought Will Arnett was great in "Arrested Development" but his first movie choice, "Let's Go to Prison" sucked hard. As a result, I wasn't expecting much from this flick, written by co-star Will Forte.

Then I laughed...and I laughed some more...and I found myself really liking the movie. Images of "Dumb and Dumber" came to mind as I watched John and Dean Solomon desperately try to bag a babe to make a baby for their dying Dad. These two home-schooled gentlemen just don't understand why something like buying a woman's groceries or offering her a delicious hallway dinner isn't a one-way ticket to her pants. The results are just plain funny.

With the help of the Internet and their checkbook, they manage to convince Janine (Kristin Wiig) to bear their child through artificial insemination. The brothers then spend the next nine months preparing themselves for their eventual spawn.

I'm not going to sugarcoat this here. The movie is a dumb comedy. That being said, it's a really funny dumb comedy. Sure there are some jokes that fall flat, but overall the gags are pretty good and they've got some great delivery with the vacant stare from Will Arnett and the solemn trusting look from Will Forte. The diaper changing practice scene is worth the price of admission in my opinion. Where else are you going to find a guy changing a fake diaper filled with quarters, popcorn and/or a dead bird? Seriously.
