Review of The Brothers Grimm (2005) by Philip R — 26 Sep 2009
I wanted to see this movie when it came out in August 2005 but I never did. I finally saw it when was broadcast on television and I liked it. Terry Gilliam directed a very entertaining fantasy comedy about two 19th century english con artists (Matt Damon and the late, great Heath Ledger) who encounter a genuine fairy-tale which inquires genuine courage instead of their usual bogus exorcisms.
Both Damon and Ledger were hysterical to watch in some scenes when they freak out at certain points of the film. Gilliam directed a top-notched cast of actors such as Lena Headey, Peter Stormare, Jonathan Pryce, and Monica Bellucci.
This is one of my favorite Terry Gilliam movies, next to 12 Monkeys and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
