Stylish, dark, and actually very creepy (especially the "Gingerbread Man" scene) Brothers Grimm is a reminder of some very important points: one - it is important to retain a degree of open-mindedness when it comes to lessons taught from ages past, and two - the fairy tales we came to love as kids have some seriously fucked-up origins.

Add to that your typical Gilliam-esque gothic horror, and you have a beautifully blocked and acted film worthy of a decade badly in need of some fantasy during the bullshit inherent in everyday life.
