Review of The Brothers Grimm (2005) by Carl H — 03 May 2012
This is superb fairy tale adventure film â" not without its flaws - with characters based on the Brothers Grim themselves and their stories, all in one film. This is not as good as The Adventures Baron Munchausen which for me is one of my favourite films, but this is still a cracking Terry Gillian film.
Sometimes Terryâ(TM)s chaotic mind can ruin his films, for example in a few of his films you think what the hell is going on. This has it all werewolves and enchanted forests. The actors are great, there are lots of funny scenes and Terry Gillianâ(TM)s unique eye for scenery shines throughout.
This film also stars Heath Ledger before he became the joker in The Dark Knight. You will be taken away to a far away land, with this delightful film.
