Review of The Brothers Bloom (2008) by Joe L — 29 Dec 2009

Slow going until Weisz sees more screen time. She was the highlight of this movie, her over the top character with such bubbling excitement. Her acting was a surprise, as I felt that Ruffalo and Brody (who were the reason I wanted to see the movie) were a little flat, especially in the first half.

The movie had a few too many twists (that weren't expected) which had me frustrated until the last one. Because of the last one the first were fine, because it ended up making the last one a bit of a surprise.

I think a second viewing will be a bit more telling about my final response to it.
