This sure was better than that "Brick" crap. Funny, sweet and slightly charming. The only problem I have with Rain Johnson is that he's a great writer but terrible director. He's too extreme for me.
This movie felt like a spastic kid on speed directed this. It was cute and quirky at first then it become confusing to follow and annoying. The con and the ending came out of nowhere, like he just threw it together randomly at the end without giving it much thought, which only added to the fustration I had at the end.
If it wasn't for Bang Bang I might have stopped watching it altogether. Great performances and a somewhat fun story. It would have been more enjoyable if only it wasn't so spastic and more focused.
