"The Brothers Bloom" is a film almost impossible to summaraize but in short, Bloom and his brother Stephen are con mans. Bloom's been out of the game for three months, but Stephen proposes one final con so that they will both be able to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. Their target: a rich shut-in named Penelope. But in the middle of their scam, Bloom begins to fall in love with her. Now, Bloom must choose his loyalties: his family or his love? That's the best I can do. Summarizing beyond that point in the film is impossible.

And it's all due to one fatal flaw. Once the setting gets to Prague, the plot becomes a convoluded mess that's tough as hell to follow. I can't tell at what point the brothers plan to con Penelope.

But in the final half hour, it goes way too far. Up until now, the plot is a mess, but pretty much somewhat understandable. But in these last scenes of the film, it get's ridiculous. There's about ten points within this half hour where the film could just end, and then the final one feels like a cheat. Of course they have to make an ending a happy one where Bloom gets the girl. How cliche. Pull something different. Have Bloom choose his brother instead over Penelope. Have Bloom die. Something!

The acting in this film is good though. And that's the only part anyone applauses. Adrien Brod may be a little awkward (as always), but Rachel Weisz is right at home. Her charatcer is totally weird and funny. But still, if you skip this movie, your only missing Rachel Weisz's character get hilariously horny and seeing her ass, but that's within the first half hour. After that, you might as well turn the movie off.

I had high hopes for this movie. I saw it advertised on a lot of DVD's, and it sounded good. But when I was one watching the movie, I feltlike I had wasted my time and just watched on of the most boring films I've ever seen. Do not buy this movie. I'm not even gonna burn it. Rachel Weisz's horniness and ass couldn't save this movie. That's pathetic.
