Whereas I found Brick tiresome because of how much it was fixated on showcasing talent rather than telling a story, Brothers Bloom seems too much of a pull in the opposite direction, to the point of not containing much of anything about Rian Johnson's style that can be compelling.
It's not a bad movie, but it feels a little derivative and lacking.
