Review of The Brothers Bloom (2008) by Matty S — 27 Nov 2013
This movie grew on me, after beginning a l.ittle slow. But theres great humour, at least until the story hit the director in the gut, and he foud out he would actually have to end it some time soon. Up to 2/3 of the movie, it is great, but it ends in confusion, and the tempo of the movie goes up threefold .
Adrien Brody does what he always does best, looking troubleminded and kind of not giving anything to the experience. Mark Ruffalo is growing during the movie, and actually ends of doing a spectacular role. The star of the movie is of course Rachel Weisz, that woman is a fenomenal actress, end don't make anybody dissapointed in this movie either. Rinko Kikuchi is the one adding value to the whole experience, and who probably the one who will make me want to see it again, because of all the little things she does in the backgroud all the time. Just fabulous.
All in all, this was a fun movie to watch, not great, but definitely a movie I would not want to miss.
