Review of The Brood (1979) by Brandon S — 07 Oct 2010
David Cronenberg's assualt on the medical society continues in this film the psychoplasmics are the harbinger of doom. After a man comes home with his daughter from the institute where his wife is being treated he realizes that the little girl has been beaten.
So he goes back to confront the wife but the doctors will not let him see her due to disruptions that my occur with her treatment. Meanwhile the wife's mother is attacked by some deformed child and brutally killed and more family members follow suit which all signs point to the wife.
Decent Cronenberg film that does have a cool gross out ending, but just takes too long in the build up.
