Review of The Bronze (2016) by Jamess — 10 Aug 2016
The plot of the **** character redeemed has been around forever, and movies like Bad News Bears and the Will Farrell sports movies capitalized on that device. Now comes The Bronze, with Melissa Rauch as the F-bomb dropping ex-gymnast living off past glory while stealing birthday cash from her Dad's mail truck.
It's not original by any stretch, but Rauch, who I only knew from Big Bang Theory, delivers big time. And she surrounds herself with excellent support from Gary Cole and Thomas Middleditch, both from two of my favorite comedies, Veep and Silicon Valley.
As mentioned the sex scene is the funniest of it's sort since Team America.
