Review of The Bridges of Madison County (1995) by John S — 04 Nov 2009
Its such an emotional movie because it is so pure and true in its development. these are real characters we get to know over the course of time. meryl streep has never been better, as well as clint eastwood, both delivering dynamite performances that leap from the screen.
the problems I had with it were the intercuttings to francesca's children. couldnt they have found reasonably good actors to play these small but crucial roles? it was painful watching the transitions from masters of the screen to these corny moments of self-realization.
