15 years on and I actually get the film! Meryl Streep is superb (does she ever do mediocre roles?) as an italian born housewife in the middle of nowhere being suddenly romanced by a rugged and well travelled stranger.
I just wish the leading man was one that could make one feel... something. I do not see Clint Eastwood as a romantic hero at all. But... all in all...sexy and.... romantic. Even the rain in it is romantic and .
.. heartbreaking!
