Review of The Bridges of Madison County (1995) by Henrik H — 17 Apr 2010
This is one of those movies that I would love to like. It's really well directed, written and casted and there's nothing dumb or embarassing or awkward in it. It's your perfect cry-your-eyes-out drama for the sunday afternoon.
But I just can't relate to it. The story is touching, it's warm-hearted, it's interesting. But I still can't relate to it. And if I can't relate to a certain setting in a movie, especially a drama movie, I can't give my absolute preciation. It's just impossible.
But hey, if I was a woman, I'd give 5 stars. No questions about it.
