Review of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) by Jack K — 30 Nov 2009
This movie was so beautiful to behold, it felt like an army/action/adventure set to a national geographic documentary. The amazing setting was enough to watch with the director choosing some great shots with natural beauty behind it (not sure where it was filmed).
The characters are amazing (alec Guinness aka obi-won kenobi won the best actor award) and at times your not 100% sure who was the protagonist and who was the antagonist. Some intense action scenes at the end of the movie, but before that was splattered with a bunch of great comical relief moments and a battle of words and whits.
Not a heavy thinking movie just sit and become anxious for the climax! The only negative it takes about 162 mins to get to that climax.
