Review of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) by Horvath S — 11 Jan 2011
Great David Lean epic pitting a British Colonel against his Japanese captor in a thrilling battle of wills between two suicidally stubborn individuals. Perfectly captures the pure madness and futility of war.
Typically great performances from Holden and Guiness. Memorable Malcolm Arnold score which incorporates the familiar "Colonel Bogey's March.".
