Review of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) by Grant F — 01 Jun 2012
Just finished watching this for the first time since I originally saw it, probably 3 years ago. Anyways this film deserves its numerous Academy wins. The Bridge On the River Kwai is another wonderful films from the Golden Age of Films (The 1950s).
Bridge is a fascinating cinematic feet mostly film on location with gorgeous sets and real to life situation. This is one of the best WWII pictures ever made and runs fluidly from start to finish with help from its memorable cast and loveable characters.
I found myself really admiring Col. Nicholson (Alec Guiness). If any cinephiles out there haven't seen The Bridge On the River Kwai, get to it!
