Review of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) by Beau D — 05 Oct 2012
An epic exploration of the futility and suffering in war, with a solid healthy dose of British stiff upper lip. It seems strange to thin that this movie was written by a frenchman. Lean is the master of epics, and this is one of his greats.
It is rare to have an epic the ends the way this movie does, questioning the pointlessness of fighting to such an extent.
