Review of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) by Ratnakar S — 01 Apr 2013
This is what you call a classic, a man's obsession with duty, honor leading to tragic results. Col Nicholson in many ways a flawed character, whose idealism proves to be his undoing. His obsession for rules, for trying to prove a point, almost ends up helping the enemy, and endangering his own men.
A great war drama, and a great study of human nature too.
