Review of The Bride Wore Black (1968) by J K — 09 Nov 2009
Truffaut does his Hitchcock thing with this revenge flick starring the rather creepy Jeanne Moreau, a bride on the hunt for the men who drunkenly killed her true love. However, despite having an awesome Bernard Herman score, the film feels less Hitchcock and more Bava slasher film; the audience is more curious as to how and not if Moreau is going to off these villains.
That left my mind to wander in the last twenty minutes or so. VF.
