Brian Johnson: Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did *was* wrong. But we think you're crazy to make an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain...

Andrew Clark: ...and an athlete...

Allison Reynolds: ...and a basket case...

Claire Standish: ...a princess...

John Bender: ...and a criminal...

Brian Johnson: Does that answer your question?... Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.

SPOILER!

5 teenagers that stuck in Saturday morning detention, that are completely different from one and another, and know nothing about each other, because they come from different worlds. But their lives is not as perfect as people think it is, and their other friends only see them by their appearance or there popularity but not who they really are. But these 5 completely different teenagers, that at first didn't really care to know each other. But until the hours progressed they really grew as friend and helped each other with their own personal issues.

Even though they were completely different all of them had personal issues, and each of them as friends helped with their own issues, and they shared stuff they probably didn't even share with their other friends who only new them by their appearance or their popularity. These 5 teenagers who are very different from one another realized that their true friends were the ones that they meant at detention.
