Review of The Breakfast Club (1985) by Cody P — 28 Nov 2014
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about the '80s is The Breakfast Club. How can you beat that song? You can't.
What I love most about this movie is it's obvious statement to, not only what teens really think or how they feel, but also the culture of it's time. The stereotypes, the music, the dancing, the dialogue and the fashion. It's an '80s movie and it knows it. And this particular group of actors, John Hughes couldn't stay away from them. The only ones missing were James Spader, Robert Downey Jr., and the guys from Weekend at Bernies!
Whatever the case, The Breakfast Club is really great, it's full of hilarious and heartwarming moments, it's not afraid to be real, it's just one of the most memorable movies of all time.
10/10.
