Review of The Breakfast Club (1985) by Brandon W — 07 Jun 2016
When a person would ask what John Hughes movie they remember, they would say Home Alone, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Uncle Buck, and other films. But what they would really remember from John Hughes, is The Breakfast Club.
Everybody from my high school knows how much of a classic it is, and it makes sense because the characters are very memorable. At first, they seem like your stereotypical kids in high school, but when the plot goes on, they get more and more developed to the point that they feel like real people.
They are people that the viewers can relate to, and it has some great writing to it. The acting is excellent, it has a right balance between drama and laughs. It can also be thought-provoking, the soundtrack is very catchy, and the dialogue keeps the viewers very interested in this.
The Breakfast Club is an amazing movie that gives a reason why John Hughes is known as the king of high school movies.
